From Chaos to Calm: My Daily 15-Minute Yoga & Coaching Ritual

My daily 15-Minute Yoga and Coaching Ritual is a fundamental part of my daily practice. It keeps me grounded, reconnects me to my life purpose and helps to keep me on track while maintaining balance in my day-to-day life.

What is My Daily 15-Minute Yoga & Coaching Ritual?

My daily 15-minute yoga ritual includes my breathing exercises, yoga postures, and meditation. It is the perfect ritual for me because even if I don’t have time to do a 1 hour yoga practice, the 15-minute ritual is enough for me to get on with my day. I start with 5 minutes of breathwork (Pranayama), like practising alternate nostril breathing (Nadi-Shodhana Pranayama). Following this, I practice yoga postures according to my body’s needs. Lastly, I keep 5 minutes for my meditation, which I do either sitting cross-legged with my spine erect or lying down in corpse pose or Savasana. Sometimes, I perform my practice along with some meditation music, mantra, or simply in silence.

What are the benefits of practising my 15-minute daily ritual?

  1. Keeps me Grounded, Peaceful, and Calm

My daily ritual helps me to reconnect to my source and inner spirit. Breathwork helps me to become aware of my breath and my existence through deep presence. With every inhale and exhale, I become more peaceful and calm. I also feel a stronger sense of stability and security. I believe that it is a transition from chaos to calm and from restlessness to stillness. By practising my daily yoga ritual, I feel more balanced and grounded in my life.

2. Keeps me Focused and Reconnects Me to My Life Purpose

Moreover, my daily ritual helps to keep me focused on my objectives and life purpose. It redirects me to my WHY and my life values. When I am able to follow my life purpose, I feel more fulfilled in my life and it brings me a sense of self satisfaction. I also experience enhanced mental clarity. Certain yoga poses like the tree pose or warrior pose are known to enhance focus and boost memory and concentration. Through practising mindful breathing, meditation, and specific poses, yoga helps us to develop stronger critical thinking abilities.

3. Reduces Stress and Anxiety

When I practice my daily yoga ritual, I feel less stressed and it helps me to manage overthinking. Our mind tends to go the past or to the future, and practising yoga, breath work, and meditation helps to redirect us to the NOW. When we are in the NOW, we are present and we are able to use our mind more efficiently and enhance our problem-solving skills. Yoga helps us to activate our parasympathetic nervous system which is our rest and digest mode, hence, reducing stress.

4. Maintain my Physical Health

Furthermore, my daily yoga ritual helps me to maintain a good physical health by enhancing my body’s strength, flexibility and balance. I listen to my body and adapt to my body’s needs. On some days, I concentrate on my arm strength and other times I can concentrate on my lower back or other parts of my body. Yoga does not require us to practice fancy postures because even simple postures do the job. You just need to listen to your body.

5. Enhances Discipline and Consistency

By practising my daily yoga ritual, I am able to maintain the same discipline and consistency in other areas of my life as well, whether by being always punctual at meetings or maintaining consistency in my business. I believe that discipline and consistency are very important principles and values in one’s life. Being an entrepreneur requires us to maintain consistency and discipline which are crucial to grow in our business.

6. Prepares Me for My Day

Additionally, my 15-minute daily yoga ritual helps to prepare me for my day. I feel better prepared to tackle my daily challenges. It also prepares me for my coaching sessions with clients by being more present and enhances emotional intelligence. I am better equipped to deal with people with empathy and patience. My daily yoga ritual also helps me to maintain a positive mindset during my day.

My Conclusion

My 15-minute daily yoga ritual helps me a lot in my day-to-day life. I also like to integrate a bit of walking to enhance the experience and benefits of the practice. I believe that having a daily yoga ritual can help anyone, whether you are an entrepreneur or have a full-time job or part-time job. It can also be helpful for someone who has a lot of responsibilities and housewives. This daily yoga ritual can also be practical for students who can practice it prior to going to school or university.
