This journey entails the transformation of my idea into an actual business of building my coaching practice, NIRVANA from scratch with the support of a great mentor, Dr. Krishna Athal. Starting a business from scratch is not a simple task and requires a good business planning, execution and consistency.
MY PERSONAL STORY OF WORKING WITH DR. KRISHNA ATHAL
Dr. Krishna Athal’s tailored approach to my business helped me to transform my idea into my coaching practice. Through his cutting-edge expertise in business and being a serial entrepreneur himself and leading successful businesses across India, Singapore and Mauritius, Dr. Krishna Athal guided me in the planning and execution of my business.
He helped me clarify my business idea, open up to different perspectives, set SMART-Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, and Time-bound goals, and set up a well established action plan towards launching my coaching practice with purpose.
Furthermore, he offers ongoing support and accompanies me in my entrepreneurial journey. I have learned so much from him in both coaching and business. He highlights my strengths, offers me constructive feedback, and keeps pushing me to achieve greater heights. Moreover, he celebrates my wins, however small they are.

- TRANSFORMING MY IDEA INTO A BUSINESS MODEL
My business model acts as a roadmap toward my vision and purpose of my coaching practice. With the support of Dr. Krishna Athal, I learned how to make a business model including my long-term vision, my target audience, market research, financial forecast, marketing strategy and my implementation timeline.
Moreover, buiding my brand name and logistics such as venue options and pricing strategies were also considered. My business model helped me have a clear vision of what I want to accomplish in my business and gain better focus on the way forward.
- BUSINESS ETHICS AND STRUCTURE
It is important to establish the business ethics including the coaching ethics and coaching framework. Business ethics compose the fundamental moral principles like honesty, integrity, fairness and accountability.
This process also included the legal aspects of the business such as well-defined terms and conditions and legal contracts. Professional liability coverage was also considered. In addition, the process of business registration and acquisition of the business registration number was made.
- LAUNCHING A PURPOSE-DRIVEN BUSINESS
Following which, NIRVANA was launched. The mission of NIRVANA is to “Empower your Inner light- Coaching for a Purposeful Life”. Soon, NIRVANA was launched on social media such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, WhatsApp and on NIRVANA’s website. Through social media platforms, people started to learn more about life coaching and its benefits.
NIRVANA is a space dedicated to growth, self-discovery, and healing where I support individuals especially women and aspiring entrepreneurs, in breaking through emotional blocks, finding balance amidst chaos, and crafting lives that are both meaningful and fulfilling.
- ENTREPRENEUR WORKSHOPS AND NETWORKING
Through Dr. Krishna Athal, I got the opportunity of attending several workshops including women entrepreneurs workshops organised by YUVA and HomeNet Asia (HNSA). I also got the wonderful opportunity of coaching these women entrepreneurs.
The coaching sessions brought clarity to the women entrepreneurs and helped them to launch and grow their businesses. For instance, a woman found the sessions very enhancing and have greatly helped her to expand her online business. She is posting more on social media to engage more clients and has also applied to financial institutions for funding facilities to grow her business.
This experience helped me to enhance my networking skills. Networking in business is crucial for growth as it opens doors to new opportunities, by building professional relationships and increasing visibility. It is also an opportunity to meet like-minded people and exchange conversations with them.
My Conclusion
It was an insightful experience for me to work on my business model and be successful in launching my own business. It brings me a lot of self satisfaction and personal fulfillment. Coming from an engineering background, it is great to learn about business and achieve new skills such as marketing and communication. Through my own entrepreneurial journey, I am now empowered to help other entrepreneurs in launching and growing in their respective businesses.
