What is Relationship Coaching?

Relationship Coaching helps us to enhance the relationship we have with others and with ourselves. In our lives, we have different kinds of relationships including romantic relationships, family relationships, close friends, business partners, and work colleagues.

No relationship is perfect. The world is made of opposites meaning people with different values, opinions, background hence, how to navigate? Moreover, relationships evolve with time and sometimes it may become challenging to navigate.

Relationship Coaching helps us to develop deeper and more satisfying connections leading to harmonious relationships.

Is there a specific relationship in your life that you want to improve?

The Journey of Relationship Coaching

  • Self-Awareness

Through self-reflective questions, the coach helps the individual to become aware of his or her emotions as well as one’s emotional triggers. Furthermore, the coach helps the coachee to identify his or her patterns. Mindfulness exercises like breathing exercises and meditation are included to help in self-awareness and emotional regulation.

  • Enhance Communication Skills

The coach helps the coachee to enhance his or her communication skills including listening skills. The individual becomes more attuned to listen with deep presence and empathy. This in turn, enhances the emotional intelligence of the coachee. The individual also learns to communicate with clarity and empathy.

  • Conflict Resolution

Conflict resolution is the art of resolving conflicts or disagreements with awareness, patience, empathy, and respect. For instance, the coach helps the coachee to become aware of misunderstandings and how to prevent them by identifying the root cause. The process of conflict resolution can involve compromising or collaborating together to find a mutual solution.

  • Rebuild Trust

Rebuilding trust can be challenging especially after a rough or hurtful situation. The coach helps the coachee to strengthen the foundation of the relationship step-by-step by building trust, open communication, and honesty. Through patience and care, the foundation of the relationship becomes stronger and more resilient.

  • Goal-Setting and Action Plan

Following which, the coach and coachee work together on setting SMART Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, and Time-bound goals based on the values and vision of the relationship. An action plan is co-created where major goals are broken into smaller achievable steps.

  • Accountability and follow-up

The coachee is held accountable and progress is monitored throughout the coaching sessions. The coach is also there during struggles being faced and helps the coachee to overcome them.

  • On-going support and celebrate wins

The coach provides on-going support and celebrates the small wins of the coachee. This in turn, enhances the personal growth of the coachee and provides motivation and encouragement.

Relationship Coaching is for anyone who is seeking healthier and more sustainable relationships. Whether you are a couple who wants to strengthen your bonds, or an individual who is single and seeking a partner who is aligned with you, or you are struggling with family dynamics, or you want to enhance your professional or business relationships, then relationship coaching is for you.

I believe that relationships require constant care just like plants do. If we wait till the leaves start to turn yellow and then turn completely dry, we might lose the plant or the relationship. Relationship Coaching helps us to understand ourselves better and help us to nourish and maintain healthy relationships. Instead of regretting later, why not take action NOW?
